Aurora and night sky photography workshop

Come and join us for an evening of fun and learning at the Signal Station in Hobart on Saturday 10 or Sunday 11 August at 5pm.

LLG_7690Francois Fourie, Jonathan Esling and Loic Le Guilly will lead this introductory photographic workshop to aurora and night sky photography.

The program for the evening:

  • equipment (camera, lenses, tripod, accessories, etc.)
  • camera and lens settings
  • introduction to startrail photography
  • introduction to timelapse photography
  • photo shoot (we will go near the Signal Station to practice)
  • post-processing (in particular Lightroom but the principles apply to any software)

The workshop will be aimed at people new or starting night sky photography. We will expect people to have a DSLR and a tripod (no point and shoot cameras please). Bring your computer if you can.

Finger food included. Drinks available for purchase from the restaurant (licensed).
